Drycleaners selected by America’s Best Cleaners are subject to a rigorous screening process during which they must distinguish themselves in every facet of the dry-cleaning business. In addition to having all the essential attributes of excellent quality and service, a designated America’s Best Cleaner must be recommended by a majority of recognized fashion designers and upscale retailers in the dry cleaner’s location.

Before a dry cleaner can become a member of the exclusive America’s Best Cleaners group, it has to meet a number of specific criteria. An America’s Best Cleaner must be able to clean and preserve wedding gowns, offer fine apparel storage, be a full-service cleaner, offer hand-finished service, provide pick-up and delivery services to home and/or office, have the capacity to ship anywhere, and offer emergency service.

Being selected as one of America’s Best opens many doors to those who have been selected. The president of French Cleaners, “Phil Cote” has been fortunate to be invited to and did travel to some of the world’s finest fabric mills in the mountains of Italy and high end designer clothing manufacturers. On multiple trips to Europe and across America Phil has been able to tour factories like Brioni, Hugo Boss, St. Johns Knits, Hermes and more. The knowledge gained from these rare opportunities allows him to train his staff on how the finest garments are made and should be cared for. Furthermore the relationships he has fostered through his affiliation with ABC such as the maker of fine embellishments, “Swarovski”, allow him access to replacement trim when necessary on the high end garments which are routinely cleaned at French Cleaners.
